Note: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- The warrior and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.
